Bayshore Park: Miami Beach’s new green oasis
A masterful blend of nature, innovation and community, designed to enrich life in Miami Beach.
Miami Beach is about to open one of its most ambitious and exciting projects: Bayshore Park, located on the former Par 3 golf course at 2795 Prairie Ave. Spanning 19.4 acres, the park, funded by the City of Miami Beach, designed by renowned architectural firm Savino Miller and built by Buslam under the direction of Ivan Busto Jr. and Ivan Busto III, will provide residents with a natural, community-focused retreat like no other.
At the heart of the park will be a stunning central lake, surrounded by trails, offering visitors a tranquil space to enjoy serene strolls in a beautiful setting. Additionally, a striking amphitheater will provide the perfect place for residents to gather and enjoy stunning sunsets, making it a true focal point of community engagement.
The project aims to elevate the quality of life for Miami Beach residents, with six tennis courts, a playground, a dog park, jogging trails, a pavilion, restrooms, and fitness zones. Additionally, the park will be home to a butterfly garden, a linear water feature, and state-of-the-art security systems, including path lighting and surveillance cameras.

Sustainability is a core element of Bayshore Park’s design, incorporating resilient features such as a central stormwater retention lake, permeable paving, and motion-sensor path lighting, ensuring the park’s ecological integrity. Significant infrastructure improvements, such as the replacement of major water and sewer lines, will also ensure the park remains a pleasant space and efficient community resource.
Recently, the project welcomed special guests including David Gomez, Interim Director of Capital Improvement Projects; David Martinez, Interim Deputy City Manager; Commissioner Alex J. Fernandez and his team; and Mark Herskowitz, CEO of Greater Miami Hebrew Academy. Their visit underscored the importance of Bayshore Park as a symbol of progress and resilience for Miami Beach.

With its stunning central lake, cutting-edge infrastructure, and community-focused approach, Bayshore Park will serve as a space for current generations and a legacy that will shape the future urban landscape of Miami Beach.
