Presenting Elegance at Scale: The Lincoln, Javier Lluch’s Signature Project in Coconut Grove

“Developers are orchestra directors. We originate and coordinate the melody, while a talented team plays the symphony”
.
.

Before we dive into your current projects, can you briefly introduce yourself and tell us how your journey as a developer began?

.
My name is Javier Lluch, and strangely enough, it started when I was 23, fresh out of university, working in the securities industry for Morgan Stanley and later with Citigroup. That phase gave me the knowledge to set up a real estate investment fund, where I got a first taste—and later, a welcome addiction—to real estate and beautiful architecture.

.

Your projects in Coconut Grove stand out for prioritizing space and design over density. What led you to take this path in a market that often does the opposite?

.
The Grove is one of the most exclusive and desired neighborhoods in Miami. It’s made up of a very diverse group of people—from artists to developers and financiers from all over the world—who demand nothing but the best.

.

The Lincoln Coconut Grove offers oversized residences at a time when compact living is becoming the norm. Do you believe modern luxury is returning to the idea of living expansively?

.
I believe families are willing to invest a little more to have more space they can truly enjoy.

.

Many describe your style as globally inspired. What international influences have most shaped your development approach?

.
I was fortunate to be born into a family that loves traveling, which led to my second hobby. That allowed me to experience beautiful cities around the world.

.

You grew up traveling the world thanks to your mother. What lessons from those early experiences show up in your work today?

.
My mother was the first female executive director of Iberia Airlines worldwide. We had the luck of traveling for free anywhere in the world, which allowed me to experience global architecture from a young age.

.

Brazilian buyers are showing increasing interest in your developments. What do you think they find in your projects that they may not see elsewhere in Miami?

.
To start, my partners and co-developers are a joint venture between one of the largest financial groups in Brazil and one of the largest Brazilian-owned financial groups in Miami. That brings a recognized level of financial strength to the project. It also brings a distinct design contribution—since they brought in a well-experienced Brazilian architectural firm as façade consultants.

.

The Lincoln Coconut Grove blends timeless elegance with smart functionality. How do you strike the balance between aesthetics, wellness, and livability in your design decisions?

.

With a great and experienced team, anything is possible. Between the development and design teams, we’ve collectively executed over 100 residential projects. That makes it easier to achieve these tropical, contemporary, elegant designs.

.

Beyond architecture, how important are amenities—like the rooftop pool deck or wellness spaces—in the lifestyle you’re curating?

.
Experience is everything. And nothing contributes more to that than the amenities. That’s why we’ve loaded up The Lincoln Coconut Grove with extraordinary features—while maintaining its boutique luxury style.

.

Miami is in the midst of a transformation. What’s your vision for the future of real estate in Coconut Grove, and how do you see yourself shaping that evolution?

.
As a Grovite myself—and a fan of this relaxed yet sophisticated neighborhood—I have a few more surprises up my sleeve that will continue to bring value to the area.

.

What does the concept of “luxury” mean to you—and how do you translate that into your work beyond premium finishes or brand-name appliances?

.
Those who understand luxury don’t need a brand to tell them what is or isn’t luxury. They’ve lived it—and they recognize it. From the exterior architectural features to the interior design and materials, The Lincoln screams luxury.

.

Finally: if you had to define what makes Javier Lluch unique as a developer in just one sentence, what would it be?

.
Developers are orchestra directors. We originate and coordinate the melody, while a talented team plays the symphony.
