Q: Thank you for sharing your story with us. Before we dive deeper into our conversation, can you tell our readers a little about yourself and what you’re currently working on?
M: I currently empower women through fashion, self-love, and lifestyle. I also work as a brand ambassador and with my latest project, MTI Brand @mtibrand.
Q: Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of ignorance that most influenced your path? What advice would you give to those at the beginning of their journey about the best way to develop or improve them?
M: In retrospect, the three qualities that most influenced my path were determination, adaptability, and a passion for continuous learning. For those at the beginning of their journey, my advice is to develop these qualities with patience and perseverance. The road to success is not linear and requires both practical skills and a strong internal sense of purpose. Keep an open mind, learn from every situation, and never lose sight of your goals. By doing so, you’ll be better prepared to face challenges and seize opportunities that come your way.
Q: Let’s talk about success in general. What do you think it takes to be successful?
M: For me, success requires a combination of a clear purpose, consistent work, resilience, adaptability, and a deep passion and love for what you do. Cultivating these qualities and skills will not only bring you closer to your goals but will also help you enjoy the process and grow as a person along the way.
Q: When you started your business, what was the biggest challenge you faced, and how did you overcome it?
M: When I started my business, the biggest challenge I faced was generating credibility and trust in a new market. As a newcomer, establishing a reputation and convincing potential clients or partners to believe in my vision was not an easy task. To overcome this challenge, I focused on being persistent and adding genuine value, which allowed me to overcome the initial obstacles and build a foundation for long-term success.
Q: Decision making is crucial in any career. Can you share an example of a difficult decision you had to make and how it affected you?
M: Your business or career can depend on a decision, so you must know how to make them at the right time. I believe the most difficult ones for me have been having to sacrifice quality time with my loved ones.
Q: How have you managed moments of doubt or uncertainty in your business journey?
M: I try to pause and ask myself some questions that allow me to stay in the present and help me determine what actions I can take today, rather than being paralyzed by fear of tomorrow. I believe and trust in what I am doing.
Q: Balancing personal and professional life can be tricky. How do you achieve this balance in your life as an entrepreneur?
M: Along the way, I have become convinced that everything in life needs balance and that there is time for everything; it just requires good planning and organization. You can have it all.
Q: What advice would you give to someone who is thinking of starting their own business?
M: Leave fear aside and dare. Listen only to the advice of people who have the life and business you want to have. And most importantly, believe in yourself.
Q: What role has networking played in the growth of your business?
M: It has allowed me to establish meaningful connections with colleagues, mentors, investors, and potential clients. In a world where collaboration and networking are essential, these relationships provide a solid foundation to overcome business challenges.
Q: To close this conversation, what would you say to those who are about to embark on their own entrepreneurial journey but are still hesitant to take the first step?
M: Believe in yourself and in what you want to do and start. You don’t need to have it all to begin.
Q: At what point in your life have you used or would you use the phrase “It’s just business”?
M: It’s nothing personal, it’s just business.
